Deep in the Sierra Madre Mountains of Western Mexico live the Huichol Indians who are known for their beautiful yarn paintings and intricate beaded artwork. Interestingly, much of the artwork depicts reindeer, which are not found in Mexico.

Throughout the years there are some in the villages that say they have seen visions of the great reindeer in the sky. Rumor has it that during a full moon you may catch a glimpse of the great reindeer named Rudolfo eating chili plants in the moonlight who can be easily spotted because of his red glowing nose.
